•Connection is not solely a genetic one, as previously thought. Research shows it is the interaction between the genes and the environment.
•It is very important to remember that eating disorders are not just extreme diets. People who have eating disorders often cannot see that what they are doing is atypical, or may feel completely unable to stop.
•In some cases people with anorexia may want to eat regularly but their mental condition makes it impossible for them to physically force themselves to ingest food. Eating disorders must be taken seriously and treated with compassion in order to protect your loved ones.

When I wrote Deceptions of Lovely the Echo my intention was to show how having food disorder issues effected me. It was all a mind game seeing my body as not measuring up. The little voice inside of my head kept ringing in my ears. "Too fat...too ugly...need to lose weight so others will you..!" It wasn't until I fainted in school because of not eating. It was a wake up call for me. Always been a HSP (highly sensitive person with lots of allergies and sensitivities. I had issues eating for fear of reactions. So, I would prefer not eating. After my fainting spell, I found help. They helped me find myself and learn to accept myself as me. That lead me to write One of a Kind. Even today it's a daily struggle. It's a work in process. After eating something if you experience any of these:
Itching or swelling of the lips, tongue or mouth.
In the throat a sense of tightness, itchiness or hacking cough.
Instantly the skin becomes red itchy Hives and swelling of the face.
Feeling sick, stomach cramps, vomiting or diarrhea.
If you experience a hard time breathing with shortness of breath, recurring coughing or wheezing.
Feeling lightheartedness and fainting.
At the first sign of reaction, tell someone, if alone call 911.
Don’t be left alone.
To lessen panic, practice a rehearsal emergency action with family and friends, so when the real thing happens, you and your family/friends will know what to do.
Learn to use epinephrine and teach others how to use it and remember you must go to the hospital after injecting; symptoms may recur, the greatest risk is in the four hours after receiving emergency treatment.
All Allergic Reactions are different, but severe reaction can escalate get immediate help. The earlier you respond to a reaction the better.

Deceptions of Lovely the Echo is a story from the mythology tragic tale of Echo and Narcissus, but it has a more of a modern twist about a relationship between two sisters. The story begins with a beautiful fairy named Lovely. She wants the royal kingdom. She would do anything to get it, even spreading lies about her sister the Queen. The Queen cannot take it any longer. To teach her sister a lesson, a curse turning Lovely into an Echo. She is toss out of the royal kingdom down to earth. The only way to break the curse the Echo, must befriend someone while being an echo. Echo tries everything to find a friend to break the curse but no luck. She thought her beauty would get her friends but that was not working. As times moves Echo was losing her beauty. It is not until she puts a curse on a magical stream and a young girl name Cassie falls into the trap. When Echo sees her own image and her beauty disappearing. She wants revenge, so she puts her curse of an echo and her negative image of herself onto Cassie. Cassie looks in the mirror. Instead of seeing her own image she sees a negative side of herself. What is worse she echoes it twice. It is not until Cassie starts losing weight, stops eating and exercising nonstop. Hoping it was change the false image. It is not until she is running in the forest, she goes back to the same magical stream when something pulls her away.
Will Echo win and keep Cassie with her forever? Will Cassie run away from the Echo and become more ill because she was not eating? Find out by reading The Echo.
