When you take on writing, your imagination will take center stage as you create the passion and love you so want to express but something always stops you. Fears, perfectionism and self doubt. Your story at present is in prison within you. You just need to open the doors wide and let it all come out. Don't let anyone steal your dream. C.S. Lewis writes, "Write about what really interests you, whether it is real things or imaginary things, and nothing else." Just write and a whole new world with unfold onto the page. The only thing stopping you...you need to start now without procrastination. Don't ever forget a blank piece of paper is a lifeless page.
If you could be a famous artist...who would you be and why? 200 words or less. Next, draw a picture similar to their artwork. Have fun with this writing/drawing exercise. Take the time to research and find a little more about that artist. Famous artists all have interesting lives worth taking the time to find more about. You may find they are just like you and me. We all have special gifts. We just need to not be critical of ourselves and share our gifts with others...like famous artists did throughout the centuries to the present.
I just love strolling through bookstores, libraries or even my own personal library. Something about being surrounded by books…. makes me so relax and calm. Usually when I am having a stressful week.... I need to actually go to a bookstore or library setting.
I must admit I am usually drawn by all 5 when I am searching for a book to read. What Attracts You To a Book? A. The Cover B. The Title of the Book C. The Author or Illustrator D. The Synopsis E. Recommended To Read It Doesn't this question make you want to hop into your vehicle and go books shopping? It sure does me. I am a books lover through and through. I hope you get the bug as you visit my Rejoice Within Post. Until the next post. Books Ahoy!!! I have been painting and drawing for years. I sometimes would wake up in the middle of the night with a beautiful picture shown to me. I get out of bed and quickly sketch out what I saw in my dream. It's amazing what images I am shown while I am sleeping. If you do not have a pad of paper or notebook by your bed, it is necessary. I love to draw images, write out dreams I had and who visited me in my dreams. In the morning, I read over my notes and drawings. Looking for clues of why I was shown this dream. I also have a dream interpretation book available to look up when I am not sure why I was show this. When I have terrible nightmares... I go for the Holy Bible. I open it randomly. It's amazing what scripture can tell me about the nightmare I just been shown. After reading God's word the nightmare doesn't seem so frightening. If you have lots of dreams... it may be time to look at them deeper. I also got a lot of my inspiration on books I written. If I am struggling with a book, I sometimes awake with the solution through a dream I had. If you haven't taken the time to really listen to your dreams...just maybe they are telling you something you need to do or not do. Sweet dreams dear friends.
I just love to tie in a great book/character with my favorite recipe. This recipe today is Don Juan Reuben Casserole. I love this recipe because it has Sauerkraut known for its digestive health benefits, plus the benefits of probiotics. I just love this casserole its like coming home. Great comfort food when you just need something to make you smile. My delicate tummy just loves this recipe. I hope yours does too.
I named this recipe after Don Juan character of Lord Byron poem. The famous women chaser. The poem is romantic and deliciously funny. I sure would tie in Don Juan with this casserole. It's so full of many different favors, aroma, and textures to make even Don Juan fall instantly in love... until the next spicy hot casserole comes around. Reuben dip. In a small bowl mix together:
Add into the same skillet
White Creamy Cashew Cheese. Blend into a blender:
Top with Sauerkraut and another layer of chips/polenta rounds, next layer the spinach, chips/polenta rounds, veggie crumble, corn chip/polenta rounds and last white vegan "cheese". Sprinkle with Nutritional Yeast. Bake for 20 minutes. Add the Reuben dip on top and serve. I like to serve the Reuben casserole with avocado slices. Yummy! Don Juan Casserole freezes well. It's delicious on the next day too allowing all those flavors to blend. Variation if you are allergic to corn you can replace corn chips/polenta with rice flour breads or wheat and gluten free pasta noodles. Enjoy! I protect the pages. Part of me is called the front and part of me is called the back. I have a backbone. I am the ________________of the book.

I don't know if its a gift or a curse. LOL This writing exercise is fun. It will make you more in touch with what you smell. Your little nose in the middle of your face... will finally get the attention it always wanted. So be gentle with your senses and enjoy the smells around you in this exercise. |
