Adventure to Faith River
Adventure to Faith River tells of a family of mallard’s journey that consist of twists and turns as well as tension filled ending as the family must leave their home to find a safe haven. As they face the the destroying of wildlife habitats, forest fires, pollutions, pesticides and last hunted by animals and humans. Through it all they find everlasting friendships, mature and increase their faith to reach the upmost goal Faith River. As the books begins the family of mallards, whose home was a quiet serene pond called Peaceful Nook, swiftly one-night the pond is being cleared and drained to build new condominiums. The chaos leaves the mallards family trying to escape. Throughout all the confusion the family is divided. Mother Angie has Jason the flirtatious oldest and Ben the weaker and younger duckling. While Papa Ahab has the two-unlikely sibling Marco the introvert and Ping the talkative and overly friendly hen. When Ahab gets shot in the wing trying to protect his duckling; Marco and Ping must get to Faith River alone without no adult supervision. The Adventure to Faith River is full of adventure, Christian theme, environmental issues, hopes, dreams, family unity, learning to love, courage to forgive, and the most important to reach Faith River before duck hunting season is in full swing.
